Working closely with Skanska-Chant JV (a member of the Brilliant Expansion Consortium), Castlegar Ready Mix provided the crushed aggregate concrete needed to construct the dam’s 62-meter high, 120 MW powerhouse and turbine. Four trucks were used to pour the concrete.
Faced with cold weather conditions and a tight timeline, the Castlegar Ready Mix team worked in confined conditions to complete the project on time for its 2008 opening.
